Sims 4 tattoo cc
So yea, any ideas what I did wrong? Please and thank you for reading my concern. Step 6: (And this is the main problem) When I put the alpha on the channel, it just becomes all black and I can't paint any whites on the tattoo. Step 5 : Opened it on photoshop and I painted the background white and the tattoo black. Step 4: I opened the file on my to change the format so that I could open it on photoshop. Step 3: I exported the texture of the tattoo that I need. Step 2: Saved my package (or the tattoo I wanted to recolor / edit) as a package. Step 1: I couldn't find the "recolor option" so I chose "Replacement CAS part" (Note: And yes I also tried the different options but all ended up with the same result) The version that I'm using for Sims 4 studio is the version 2.4.1.5 (Love) and Adobe photoshop cs5. Mainly, I got lost at the part where I need to do the alpha thing. Hi there, I'm pretty new to using sims 4 studio and photoshop, wanted to make my own tattoo but stumbled upon a problem while trying to follow the tutorial. I have possibly maybe got this one sec.īruh I would have NEVER ever looked in the channel tab of my layers section and I got lucky to see that portion in the screen shot ( my eyes aren't that great if it isn't popping out me I am bound to over look it ) I think adding in text that the alpha layer is in the channel tab that might help noobs like me that just don't know what they are doing yet :P thanks for the tutorial and help though, I powered through. Do I have name something alpha in my photoshop layers, it just seems like the colored picture is over the white/black image but how is studio even supposed to see both layers on a single image. Next post and ill explain how to fix that, its easy peasy.Įxcept im just missing WHERE to change that alpha i know im prolly missing the most obvious but with every other object or item in the studio if there is two alphas there is obviously two alphas i dont have to go searching for it, it clearly says texture one texture two or layer one or two the tattoos is literally the only one I can't seem to get to work, I don't even understand how you checked for this DX this is given me heartache. Go to layer and flatten image, save it as a dds and import it back into s4sĭepending on the image, you may notice a white line on the outside of your tattoo, its the alpha layer doing that, read my Go back to the layers tab and delete or hide the top two layers and we are good to go for now. Then click on the alpha layer and edit paste (or ctrl v)Īnd there is a perfectly placed alpha layer. Select all (ctrl a) then edit copy merged (or shift ctrl c) select white by clicking on the little box next to blend mode then click OK.Īt this stage your tattoo will disappear (or nearly), don't worry its meant to, it will beck in a minute.Ĭlick back on layer 2 and click on create new layer.Ĭlick on layer 3 that you just made and bucket fill it black. In the pop up window click on color overlay Make sure you are on layer 2 copy and click the fx tab
So wind up with thisĮither drag layer 2 onto the new layer tab, or right click on it and duplicate layer so you have layer 2 copy as shown You can delete or hide the body template now. Then ctr t to transform and hold shift for uniform scale, scale it down and place it where you want it to go and hit enter. Open your tattoo image in photo shop and delete the background (I just used the magic eraser) and copy and paste it onto the body template (ctrl c ctrl v) Open up the body template texture and put in on top of the background image. On both the image layer and the alpha layer get white and black paint respectively and paint over both the images to make a blank canvas to start with. Open s4s and clone out a tattoo as a recolor and export the texture and open it in photoshop. Im going to be making a back tattoo but you can make a tattoo for any part of the body you want. I am assuming you have a basic understanding of s4s. A quick tut on how to make a tattoo with sims 4 studio and photoshop.
